Leads Welcome is an independent, Melbourne-based guide to places that welcome dogs across Melbourne and Victoria.

How we check listings

• Every listing has a source. That can be the venue's own website, a council page, or a reputable published guide. Each listing shows its sources and the date we checked them.
• We don't guess. If a source doesn't say whether dogs can go inside, we mark it Not stated. If sources disagree, we say Sources disagree.
• "Venue says so" means the venue's own website states the policy. "Reported by guides" means a third-party guide states it and we haven't seen it from the venue yet. "Venue says outside only" means the venue says dogs stay outside.
• Map pins are approximate. We place them by looking up each venue's published address with OpenStreetMap, and we leave a venue off the map rather than guess.
• Policies change, sometimes overnight. Always check with the venue before you go.
